This half day course will take you through some of the main techniques of adding further interest or visual dimensions to your work. This course is suitable for the beginner or the more advanced fuser alike. It covers different firing schedules to a create tack fuse to the surface of the work, with a very glassy/crystal like look to it, this is incredibly tactile and pleasing on the eye. The other technique covered is kiln carving, which involves creating a relief underneath the glass which can be used with the intention of viewing through the glass or turning it so its on its surface. During the morning you will produce at least one finished piece of art work in both techniques.
